Guided Fishing & Tuition Rates
All guiding is offered on a one-to-one or two-angler basis, allowing for unhurried fishing and individual attention. Days are planned around river conditions, seasonality, and the most suitable methods for the time of year.
Full-Day Guiding or Tuition
£220 per day (1 angler) + permit costs depending on location
£300 per day (2 anglers) + permit costs depending on location
A full day typically runs for 6–8 hours, depending on conditions and the type of fishing planned. This option suits anglers looking for a complete river experience, whether guiding or instruction.
Half-Day Tuition

Seasonal Notes
Fishing in the West Country is highly seasonal and weather-dependent. Availability and suitable rivers are influenced by:
- Water levels and recent rainfall
- Species being targeted
- River-specific regulations and bylaws
- Time of day (e.g. night sea trout fishing)
For this reason, dates are always discussed and confirmed in advance, and flexibility is encouraged where possible to ensure the best experience.
Availability
- Guiding is offered seasonally, generally from May through September, with some rivers extending into autumn where regulations allow
- Dates are limited and allocated on a first-come basis
- Peak periods (June–August) should be booked well in advance
